Registers of TCM practitioners
Information on types of registrations.
Registration of TCM practitioners in Singapore is governed by the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Act 2000.
Registers of TCM practitioners
There are two categories of TCM practitioners registered by the TCM Practitioners Board:
TCM physicians who can also practise acupuncture
Acupuncturists (currently only open to qualified Singapore-registered doctors and dentists)
Types of registration of TCM practitioners
The types of registration that may be granted to a qualified TCM practitioner are:
Full registration
Full registration allows a TCM practitioner to practise his prescribed area(s) of TCM on his own in Singapore.Conditional registration
Conditional registration allows a TCM practitioner to work in an approved TCM healthcare establishment, under the supervision of a TCM practitioner on full registration. TCM practitioner under conditional registration has to adhere to the conditions of registration as required by the Board.
